I designed a brochure to showcase the various exhibitions and works of art from the National Gallery of Canada. I wanted to create a continuous spread layout for both sides to make the content flow nicely from one panel to the other. Using my own photography from visiting the gallery, I used Adobe InDesign to create the final design.
The design guides the focus toward the content of the brochure through the monochromatic colour scheme and the leading lines. The triangular shapes are key elements in the design as they represent the geometric quality of the gallery’s iconic architecture. The negative space created by the blue-coloured shapes on the outer panels creates a spotlight, highlighting the gallery’s diverse collection.
